Featured Fun
Today’s selection of games, based on those featured in the main page at BGames, is more eclectic than it’s ever been, I dare say. We have a sports game, an action game, a racing game and a puzzle miscellaneous game of sorts. There are zombies, martial arts, guns, speed, and some time (and need) for thinking as well. Let’s see what this is all about.
First of all, I tried Factory Balls 3 and I did not, for the life of me, understand it. I couldn’t figure out how to play this game, how to complete the level (and it was just the first one, imagine me making an attempt at final level 30), so I assumed it was a fluke. Turns out that after a bit of digging in YouTube I found a walkthrough for it, and it blew my mind. The game is amazing! Its fatal flaw, however is the fact that there is no ‘how-to’, no explanation as to what the game is about. So, take mind, because I am going to make things a lot easier for you. The objective of each level is to actually produce (as in manufacture) the figure you see outside the packaging box by using the materials the game provides. How? Well, that’s the part you have to figure out yourself.
Then there was Deadly Race, and it quickly became my favorite racing game so far. You control your car with your mouse, and there is a bit of Grand Theft Auto in it: you have to destroy everything you can. Hit pedestrians, push the rest of the cars off the highway, shoot at stuff; do anything you can while collecting money and ammo, and enhancing your armor. Just like a regular trip to the office, don’t you think?
The martial arts fan in me was immensely satisfied to have found Straw Hat Samurai 2. The guy is a Rayden-like looking badass that faces endless hordes of well-armed enemies with only his sword. As the game progresses you discover several features that make it a lot more fun and entertaining, but the best part of it is the fact that you control the attack with your mouse. That means that a flick of your wrist can literally wound those who dare cross you. How cool is that?

Finally, I found Death Penalty Zombie Football. Guess what was my first reaction? Zombies, YAY!!! Once the excitement disappeared and I started checking the game out seriously, I found it not only entertaining but also quite thrilling. Basically you can choose you soccer team (and your zombie opponent) among 20 English Premier League teams, and then it is all very simple. You are face to face with two zombies who want nothing more than tasting your flesh, how can you protect yourself? Hit them with the ball. Hit them hard, and fast, and maybe then think about scoring. Otherwise, well, you are definitely dead meat.

Fun is in variety, apparently!
